The Nevers
In the ins 2015 of Victoria's reign, London is beset by the "Touched": people-- mainly females-- that all of a sudden materialize uncommon capacities, some charming, some extremely troubling. Amongst them are Amalia True, a mysterious, quick-fisted widow, and Penance Adair, a great young creator. They are the champs of this new underclass, making a residence for the Touched, while fighting the forces of ... well, virtually all the forces-- to include those whom history as we understand it has no area.
