The Lieutenant
The Lieutenant is the first, a American tv series. It aired on NBC. It was made by Arena Productions, certainly one of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's most successful in-house production organizations of this 1960s. Situated at Camp Pendleton, the West Coast base of this U.S. Marine Corps, The Lieutenant focuses on the guys of the Corps in peace time with a Cold War background. The name character is also a rifle platoon leader, 2nd Lieutenant William Tiberius Rice and a few of the training educators at Camp Pendleton. An hour long drama explores the lives of officials that are general and enlisted Marines alike.
The series was launched on August 14, 2012 by the Warner Archive Collection on DVD in 2 places.
