Saints & Strangers
Saints & Strangers can be a narrative which goes beyond the recognizable historical account of Thanksgiving and the founding of Plymouth Plantation, revealing the trials and tribulations of the settlers at Plymouth: 102 men, women and children who sailed to a chartered ship for a location that they hadn't ever seen.
Of this group, half are those we think about pilgrims, or saints, religious separatists who left handed their lives for a single cause freedom. The other half, the retailer adventurers--referred for strangers--had less spiritual and stuff objectives. Since they sought to begin a new colony, compounded by a relationship with the Native American tribes, this clash of values created complex. The contradictory allegiances among the bands, culminated in trials of assimilation, faith, and compromise which still continue to define our state into this day.
