Hippies
1969, swinging London. From his flat in Notting Hill Gate, Ray Purbbs broadcasts an'underground' (which is, counter-culture ) magazine, and Mouth, assisted by his fellow hippies Alex, both Jill and Hugo. Ray is passionate about protest, ludicrously enthused about every hip trend and confident that he's (or could be) a big player within the conflict between the Establishment and the alternate society. Alex - though he also seems more interested in golf than changing society and comes from a wealthy background - is coolness personified, a guy so laid he generally seems to exist out of reality. Jill embraces all the newfound liberty lent her sex and claims to love, though this attitude doesn't stretch for her'boyfriend'. Hugo is vague, almost glorious in his obliqueness. Led by Ray, the quartet comprehensively fail to make the tiniest little difference they do and jump on every bandwagon. The gang will be pretty useless at all - in fact, they aren't that good at being hippies.
