Having lost his horse in a bet, Pat Brennan hitches a ride with a stagecoach carrying Willard newly-weds and Doretta Mims. At the next station its passengers and that the trainer fall in to the hands of a trio of outlaws headed by a person named Usher. If Usher finds that Doretta could be a rich copper-mine owner's daughter, he decides to keep her for ransom. Tension builds within another 2-4 hours as there grows a attachment between Brennan and Doretta and since Usher anticipates a reply.
