The Color of Friendship
Mahree Bok Resides on a Plantation in South Africa. Her father is a policeman who can't hide his joy once the governments catch activist Steve Biko. Piper Dellums is that lives in a Great home in Washington DC and the girl of a US congressman from California. When Mahree is chosen to spend a semester at the Dellums' house, she doesn't anticipate her host family would be black. Nor do her hosts guess that she isn't just a South African.
