After his wife and mistress both leave him, hard-drinking novelist Zach Hutton spirals out of control. Zach, alone and afflicted by a severe case of writer's block, drifts in and out of casual romances and one-night stands as his drinking worsens. Zach tackles his demons— women and drink— and rediscovers his literary voice with the assistance of a bartender and his therapist.
