Supported by the National Geographic Society, the globe's distinguished blue whale researchers start a cutting edge mission: They'll find, identify, and tag California blue whales, use the DNA samples to validate the sex of individual whales, then rejoin the large animals' sensational movement when they gather at a chimera referred to as the Costa Rica Dome.
