When her senior school's writing contest is lost by Terry Griffith, she is convinced that it's because she is a girl. Thus Terry makes the decision to improve schools that are high and present like a boy to demonstrate her point. Her brother, Buddy, helps her pass as a guy so well that she's soon making friends with the boys in school, for instance, attractive Rick, who becomes her new friend. However, her gender-swapping makes things difficult when she falls in love with him.
