Bernie Laplante is having a rough time. He is divorcedhis ex-wife hates him and has custody of the son, the cops have been setting a trap for him personally , then to top it all, he also loses a shoe whilst rescuing passengers of a jet. Being a thief who is down on his luck, Bernie makes the most of the crash, but somebody else claims charge for the rescue.
