After the elevators at a nyc skyscraper begin strangely malfunctioning, setting its passengers at risk, mechanic Mark Newman (James Marshall) and reporter Jennifer Evans (Naomi Watts) begin distinct investigations. Newman gets resistance from superiors while a few gruesome deaths are caused by other elevator episodes at his companion, which fabricated the elevator. There looms a far stranger excuse, although Law enforcement get involved and assume that terrorists are responsible.
