The X-Men face their formidable and powerful foe when one of their particular, Jean Grey, starts to spiral out of control. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is not quite killed when a mysterious force struck her. Once she goes home, this force not merely makes her much more powerful, but much more unstable. The X-Men must band together to save her soul and battle aliens that want to utilize the new abilities of Grey to dominate the galaxy.
