Apocalypse of Ice
Currently in the throes of a viral pandemic, a substantial polar vortex threatens to cover almost all of Planet in ice. When it's found the only chance of survival from the cold is a 100-mile pleasant area near the equator, a virologist, with the pandemic's only cure, need to get to the safe zone within 1 day if humankind is to have any type of hope of survival.
