An Adventure in Space and Time
This special one-off drama travels back to observe Doctor Who had been first brought to the monitor. Actor William Hartnell felt trapped with a series of hard-man roles. Wanna-be manufacturer Verity Lambert was defeated with the glass ceiling of it industry. Both of them were to find unlikely sudden and hope challenges in the shape of a Saturday tea-time drama. Allied having a team of brilliant although unusual men and women, they went onto build the longest running science fiction series.
