American Revolution 2
American Revolution 2 starts with footage of the political protests at the 1968 Democratic Convention and the strong actions of the Chicago Police Department and the National Guard. In order to find out why there weren't any African Americans at the protests, the filmmakers followed members of the Chicago chapter of the Black Panther Party as they tried to find common ground with different white activist groups. In one scene, Panther Bobby Lee and members of the Young Patriots, a group of white Appalachian activists who live in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, plan a protest against police brutality. Even though the groups are different in terms of race, they have similar social and political goals. These include ending police violence, ending poverty, ending unemployment, and ending bad living conditions. The movie's beautiful but unrealized dream is that there could be a political movement that includes people of different races and cultures.
