Aces High
The World War is in its third season and combat above the Western Front is absorbing the favored kids of the nation . By early 1917, a pilot's ordinary life span is much under a fortnight. Such losses place a strain that is fearsome on Gresham. Aces High recreates the early days of the Royal Flying Corps with some magnificently staged conflicts, and sensitive direction introduces a moving portrayal of their futilities of war.
