A Star Is Born
Esther Blodgett is only another starry eyed farm kid attempting to break into these pictures. Waitressing at a Hollywood party, she catches the attention of alcoholic star Norman Maine, is given a test, and is swept up at the Hollywood glamor machine (ruthlessly satirized). She and her idol Norman marry. However, his career abruptly dwindles to nothing.
