Getting into his late grandfather's house, young Jack inherits the older man's dog, Skipper (Norm MacDonald) - who is able to talk! Together with the Gee pooch's assistance, Jack finds that a treasure hidden in town was left by Grandpa. Jack joins forces with a trio of neighbor children that are smart - a goth girl, a socialite, and a jokester - to find the valuable booty, using the way in which being led by Skipper. But can they outrun the brazen, bumbling thieves that will stop at nothing to seize the prize for themselves?
