The Hubbard clan that is most ruthless, moneyed resides in, and toxins, their area of the deep South at the turn of the 20th century. Regina Giddons née Hubbard gets her daughter. Mrs. Giddons is estranged from her husband, who's convalescing at Baltimore and suffers from a terminal ailment. However she will control her daughter, and needs him home. She includes a sneaky company deal which she's cooking up with Ben, Oscar and her two brothers. Oscar includes also a pig of a young child and a wife. Will the daughter need to marry this cousin that is contemptible? Who will she grow up to be - her mother along with her or his aunt? Or can she escape the fate of either?
