His fiancee zo-e medical researcher Frank and his team have achieved the impossible: they have discovered a means to regenerate the dead. After a successful, however unsanctioned, experimentation on a dead creature, they are ready to make their job public. However, when their dean accomplishes exactly what they have done, he shuts them down. Zoe is murdered during an attempt to recreate the experimentation, leading the process to be tested by Frank on her behalf. Zoe is revived -- but something bad is within her.
