At odds with each other is the young freewheeling traveler Jerry Day and his gorgeous wife Tonic. Jerry refuses to take responsibility, while Toni longs for a family and a stable existence. Jerry's daughter Pennie, who had been living with the wealthy family of his deceased wife, was found by the Days. After meeting Pennie, it appears that Jerry is on the road to a better life, free of con games and scams. His new family's obligations make Jerry succumb to Felix Evans' temptations, despite his newfound commitment to his new family. There is a possibility that Evans' new family life will end when he convinces Jerry to take a job.
