Since his previous partner Chick Allen entered the service, Hap Smith has a new act. Hap is now a clownish soldier parodying a charming new female lover. So, to sneak onto the base, Hap impersonates a hapless actual soldier, but circumstances force them to prolong the masquerade, producing an increasingly complex Army-sized SNAFU.
