LA private eye Philip Marlowe (Robert Mitchum) is hired by excon Moose Malloy to locate his girlfriend. While also exploring the murder of a client and the theft of a jade necklace, Marlowe becomes entangled with all seductress Helen Grayle (Charlotte Rampling) and discovers a web of dark secrets that are better left hidden. Soaked at 1940s time detail, Farewell, My Lovely is actually just a neo noir remake of this 1944 film however it follows the initial Raymond Chandler's book closely.
