When young Crazy Horse, whose greatness was predicted, marries, his rival Little Big Man goes to villainous traders with evidence of gold in the sacred Lakota burial ground. Despite all treaties, a new gold rush begins, and Crazy Horse becomes the military leader of his people. The initial Indian victories lead to the unavoidable conclusion. Everything is told from the Indian point of view, which is unusual.
