The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin
Disillusioned after a long career in Sunshine Desserts, Perrin fakes his own death and experiences a mid life crisis. Returning in disguise after various efforts at getting a'new life', he gets his job back and finds nothing has really changed. He is eventually discovered, also in the next series has got success with a chain of shops selling crap. That becomes so successful he believes he makes the decision to destroy it also has created a monster. At the 3rd and last series he's a fantasy of forming. Unfortunately that fails and he also sees himself back in a work not unlike the one he originally needed at Sunshine Desserts.
