Hi Score Girl
The entire year is 1991 and 6th grader Yaguchi Haruo only has video-games to live for. He's not common in school and he is neither handsome, funny, nice nor friendly. The one thing he's got going for him is he could be good in video games. 1 trip to the arcade, he plays with Oono Akira, a classmate but who's popular, smart, pretty and a girl that absolutely destroys him Street Fighter II. Does he lose to her 30 days in a row, he can not beat her in any other game. Haruo can not seem to shake off Akira because she follows him to arcade everyday afterschool and defeats him every time. The strange couple begins a friendship and bond, as odd as it sounds.
